This verification material is available from the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) to use in the verification of flow tables, as mentioned in ASTM Standard Test Method C230.
The verification material consists of approximately 400 grams of material packaged in a bag, and a can with approximately 450 ml of mineral inside. Documentation is provided in the link below. The documentation provides detailed instructions on how to prepare the material. It is very important to fully follow the instructions, in order to properly prepare the material for usage. Improper preparation can result in adversely affecting the values obtained with this material. Also included are answers to frequently asked questions.
